SONAR4 is a new edge computing analytics and service assurance platform for communications service providers deploying Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) technologies. Using real-time multi-source telemetry processing and deep learning, SONAR4 closes the automation loop for high-volume, low-latency edge services. By providing whole-stack edge telemetry feedback to SDN/NFV orchestrators and controllers, SONAR4 guarantees more effective service assurance.
SONAR4 provides a time-synchronized, real-time topology-aware correlation capability across the full technology stack, along with standardized interfaces that allow service providers to take meaningful and timely corrective action. With a system-wide view of the network edge, service providers can increase uptime and strengthen SLAs for multiple services, at a lower total cost of ownership.
The SONAR4 service assurance and analytics platform is focused on low-latency edge services, such as those leveraging emerging 5G technology. It is ideal for a wide range of wireless, enterprise, residential, and Internet of Things applications. Capitalizing on machine learning algorithms for real-time service monitoring and closed loop automation, SONAR4 ensures faster and more accurate early warning, root cause analysis, and impact analysis, which contribute to stronger SLA conformance.
